On 8 July 2020, a staff member of the Department of Guided Tours Organization of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Salimova G. I. for a family from Kazan held an event entitled “A family in the museum” devoted to the Day of family, love and loyalty.
A tradition to celebrate this day appeared in our country not long ago. An idea to celebrate the day of family values originated in the town of Murom of Vladimir oblast. In this town in the temple of the Holy Trinity of the Holy Trinity Monastery, the relics of saint spouse Peter and Fevronia rest. They are regarded as the patrons of Christian marriage.
The Day of family, love and loyalty is celebrated in Russia and other countries – Bulgaria, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Germany, Great Britain and France. Traditionally, the main celebration takes place in Murom on 8 July or on the day before the holiday if the date falls on weekdays. Concerts, trade and craft fairs are held in the town, animation areas for children are opened. A gala concert and firework take place there in the festive evening.
A happy man is a man who has a family and home where he is wanted and loved. A family is the most important thing a man can have. It is a support, understanding, the highest happiness a man can create for himself. There is no stronger union on earth than a happy close-knit family.
A guided tour was organized for the guests. They visited the objects of Bolgar Museum-Reserve – architectural monuments of XIII-XIV centuries.
