On 2 July 2020, Bolgar Museum-Reserve hosted guests – a camera crew of the television program “Scampish notes” – a weekly TV program on Channel 1. “Scampish notes” is the author’s program of Dmitry Krylov about travels. In a relaxed, ironic manner, the author tells about his impressions of different countries, which he visited with the crew of the program.
Within the TV program, it is planned to show major tourist sites and places of interest of Tatarstan. The program includes filming of the main sightseeing attractions and infrastructure of Great Bolgar.
The film crew visited the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization, filmed episodes in the Memorial Sign in honor of adoption of Islam by Volga Bulgars in 922, in the Cathedral mosque of medieval Bolgar and other Muslim architectural monuments – unique examples of Bulgar-Tatar architecture of XIII-XIV centuries. The guests visited Museum Street where they participated in a master class “Bal-mai” and tasted Bolgar tea in the museum of “Bolgar tea party”.
Modern tourist infrastructure on the territory of the museum-reserve was reflected in the report. This reportage will be on the air in autumn 2020.
