On 26 June 2020, a staff member of the Department of Guided Tours Organization of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Gaifutdinova O. A. held for the guests from St. Petersburg an event entitled “The last number” devoted to the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
26 June is the day of global importance. It is the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking established in 1987 as an expression of determination of the United Nations General Assembly to strengthen its activity and create a drug-free society. The recommendations of the International Conference on the fight against drug abuse and illicit trafficking were the reason for this decision.
International Day against Drug Addiction contributes to a massive solution of an extremely serious problem of our time. This issue should leave no man on Earth indifferent. It is only through a collaborative effort that positive results can be achieved in addressing the global problem of modern times – drug abuse.
During the event, the guests not only knew the history of emergence of the day devoted to the fight against one of the worst phenomena of modernity but also shared their thoughts on this problem, expressed their disapproval of drugs and a positive attitude to a healthy lifestyle.
