On 7 March 2020, an event entitled “Mother’s holiday comes with spring” was held.

On 7 March 2020, a staff member of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Kabirova G. H. held an event on “Mother’s holiday comes with spring” for primary school students of Bolgar Comprehensive School №2. The purpose of the meeting was to let the children get acquainted with the tradition of celebrating International Women’s Day in Russia and to educate their feeling of love and respect for female representatives, for their moms and grandmothers.
It is impossible to imagine the first days of spring without a holiday of 8 March. This beautiful holiday means the coming of spring and a tribute of respect and love for a Woman. At first, everything was going serious, and this day appeared to change women’s weekdays. When did the holiday emerge? Who was the first person to offer to celebrate it? During the event, the kids received responses to all these questions.
At the end of the activity, the children printed named cards for their moms and grandmothers.
