On 6 and 7 March 2020, the semifinal of the contest “Masters of hospitality” took place.

On 6 and 7 March 2020, the head of the Department of Guided Tours Organization of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Prokofieva G. R. participated in the semifinal of the contest “Masters of hospitality” – a project of the presidential platform “Russia is the land of opportunity”, which took place in Samara. 99 participants from 19 regions of Russia took part in the semifinal. They showed the best results during a long-distance testing and presented their projects connected with the tourism industry. “Masters of hospitality” is an All-Russian contest directed towards unlocking the potential of professionals, the formation of new traditions, the improvement of standards of service and professional prestige in all spheres of hospitality. During two days, the participants fulfilled group analytical tasks, defended their projects, listened to lectures and worked together with recognized experts in the field of tourism industry.
Bolgar Museum-Reserve presented a project “Idel – Itil. Volga” – creating a unique eco-historical tour with interactive theme route on the territory of the museum-reserve and “Spassky” reserve. The purpose of the project is the development of ecotourism in Spassky municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan, which will promote the dissemination of information about historical and natural features of the district without upsetting ecosystem balance and help to improve the well-being of local people. It will be of significant assistance in the protection of historical and natural sites.
