On 6 March 2020, a methodist of the museum and educational department of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Sagirova L. Sh. held a knowledge lesson on “Gaziza apa is a hope of Abdulla” for the students of the 3rd grade of Bolgar Comprehensive School №1. This event devoted to International Women’s Day on 8 March took place at the museum of Abdulla Alish.
The kids saw the exposition of the museum and knew about the favorite women of Alish. The dearest woman of children’s writer was his mother Gaziza apa. She taught him to read and write, developed a love for literature and inspired him. Among women around Abdulla, there were also his sister Zakira, his lovely wife and the sons’ mother Rokiya.
During the event, the children listened to the letters written to Abdulla by his mother when he was at the front. Gaziza apa was waiting for the son all her life, sent him poems because she also could write poetry. The students became acquainted with the text of Abdulla’s letter to his mother and wife. Of course, the writer’s last goodbye letter from Berlin jailhouse impressed the kids deeply. Emil Maizon delivered it to USSR after the end of the war.
The museum lesson devoted to the favorite women of Abdulla Alish ended with congratulations on 8 March.
