On 6 March 2020, a lecture on “Women’s silhouette against the historical background” took place.

On 6 March 2020, a research associate of the museum and education department of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Krivosheyeva S. V. held a knowledge lecture on “Women’s silhouette against the historical background” for the students of the 5th grade of Bolgar sanatorium-type residential school.
At the lesson, the children learned about exceptional women who left a bright trace in the history of Russia. They lived in different historical periods and embodied the best human qualities: talent and intellect, grace and beauty, the will to win and persistence.
A woman is Beautiful, she is Legendary, Great, and she is a Goddess. A woman is the most wonderful and mysterious creature in the universe. Without her, our world would be grey and boring.
There were great Women in history who have done for humanity no less than the Great men. However, how little books are written about them, how little monuments are erected for them and how small movies are made.
At the lecture, the students became acquainted with amazing history of one of the greatest Russian rulers – Katherine II. She left a brilliant trace in the history of ancient town of Bolgar too, having visited it in 1767.
Great women are forever in the memory of humankind, and that’s fine because we can learn a lot from their experience.
