On 8 February 2020, participants of the meeting of the Board of Trustees of Bolgar Islamic Academy visited Bolgar Museum-Reserve.

On 8 February 2020, the meeting of the Board of Trustees of Bolgar Islamic Academy took place in Bolgar. The First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Office of the President of Russia Sergey Kiriyenko and the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnihanov took part in the work of the meeting. The leaders of the regions of Russia, representatives of federal ministries, members of the clergy and patrons also were invited to the session.
An excursion program was arranged for the participants of the meeting. They visited the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization and the Memorial Sign in honor of adoption of Islam by Volga Bulgars in 922. Camera crews of TV channels interviewed the guests. The director of the State Hermitage Mikhail Piotrovsky told a reporter of “Tatar-inform” News Agency: “I liked very much the exposition about archaeologists’ life. There are household items and diaries here… Actually, your museum is a shining example of how to show complicated things in all their aspects.”
The guests were interested to learn about Bolgar Museum-Reserve. Many of them visited it for the first time.
