It is possible to name a museum “a magic time machine”. A student can travel in it into the distant past and to today within minutes. He can look to the future and compare facts of different periods. Museum for schoolchildren is a source of knowledge, a living communication tool with the richest spiritual and material culture, introduction to the culture of the past through the traditions of today.
On 13 January 2020, an associate of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Kabirova G.H. held an information lesson “Museum and children” for the students of Bolgar special boarding school for children with limited opportunities. During the lesson boys and girls got acquainted with a definition of the term “museum”, knew where the first museums appeared, what museums exist etc. In continuation of the class children met with information about Bolgar Museum-Reserve; they got to know the history, life and traditional culture of Volga Bulgaria. Besides, students learnt about new museum objects – the museum of “Bolgar tea party”, the museum of Abdulla Alish, the museum of “The town on the river”.
