On November 15, 2019, the meeting of the descendants of the famous scientist, educator and religious figure Shigabutdin Marjani, who can rightly be called the pride of the Tatar people, took place in the MBU “Historical environment” in the “Old Tatar settlement” on Shigabutdin Marjani street. The initiator of this meeting, which is quite a significant event in the cultural and scientific life not only of Kazan, but also of Tatarstan as a whole, was the Director of the IBU “Historical environment” Marat Kornilov.
The purpose of the meeting: the joint efforts of the Institute named after sh. Mardzhani, MBU “Historic environment”, the descendants of the educator, to work on further development of the house-Museum of S. Mardzhani, on deeper study of the life and work of the great scientist, the memory of it.
This meeting was preceded by a lot of organizational work. In addition, it was necessary to find and invite numerous representatives of this kind. With this work adequately coped great-great-niece sh. Marjani, researcher of the Bulgarian Museum-reserve, a member of the Union of local historians of Russia Sadrieva Ninel Masgutovna. At the first meeting, unfortunately, managed to collect, until all. In the near future, the work on finding contacts will continue and then it will be possible to gather more representatives of this remarkable family for the second meeting, which is planned in the spring.
In the building of the Prefecture of MBU “Historical environment” gathered 25 representatives of the family of sh. Marjani-his direct descendants and descendants of his brother Sadretdin, as well as employees of the Institute of history. Sh. Marjani an RT, NCC “Kazan” and other interested persons.
The event began with the opening speech of the Director of MBU “Historical environment” Kornilov M. A., who acquainted with the program of the meeting, which included a tour of the streets of the historic Old Tatar settlement and a visit to the house-Museum of sh. Marjani. All this was very informative, interesting and left a lot of impressions. After visiting the historical sites, the participants of the meeting continued their work in the conference hall.
Here the audience was able to see the pedigree of Marjani to the knee. The discussion was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere over a Cup of tea with Tatar national pastries: echpochmak, chak-chak and elesh.
At the beginning of the meeting, the participants introduced themselves and briefly told about themselves. Then began the business discussion that brought us together. A proposal was made to representatives of the family of sh. Marjani to make a trip to the village of Tashichu Arsky district, where Shigabutdin lived since childhood, studied in madrassas, helped his father Bagautdin to teach in madrassas and from where He went to improve his knowledge in Central Asia. It was proposed to organize a tourist route there, prepare and conduct interactive tours of the places where Shigabutdin Marjani lived, and in the house-Museum of the educator to issue an image of the tree of life of his family. In addition to the usual route, telling where sh. Marjani visited, prepare and create a virtual route. Expand the territory of the Museum complex dedicated to the life and work of the great educator.
As a result of the meeting of descendants and representatives of the Marjani family, the Director of the IBU “Historical environment” Kornilov M. A. said that this event was fruitful. During the event, many interesting proposals were made for the implementation and implementation of the work to perpetuate the memory of sh. Marjani.

Mustafina of Gulzada Gumarovna – great granddaughter of sh. Marjani said that the meeting was a success. Gulzada Gumerova was very happy to meet and get acquainted with relatives. She supports the work of perpetuating the memory of her great ancestor.

This meeting of the descendants of Shigabutdin Marjani’s family gave a new impetus to the study of his life and activities, as well as to the work of perpetuating his memory.
