On June 30, 2019, the Bulgarian Museum-reserve visited Villa Haapasalo. Finnish, Russian actor and TV presenter Ville Haapasalo is known to us from the cult films “Peculiarities of national hunting” and “Peculiarities of national fishing”. He also conducts a number of documentary projects about travels in Russia. On June 23, Ville Haapasalo began to shoot a series of programs about Tatarstan, which will consist of ten series of 26 minutes and which will include the most interesting places of the Republic, national traditions and customs, as well as local fishing. The program will premiere in September on its own channel, which launches Haapasalo – a channel about nature, travel, fishing. The new cycle of programs does not yet have a name, even a working one. According to Villa, the name usually appears later, while working on the collected material. “But there the word Tatarstan will be exact, without it in any way”, – he emphasized.
On the ancient Bulgarian land, the guest was traditionally greeted in national costumes with Chuck-Chuck and bread and salt. The Villa visited a Memorial sign in honor of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgarians in 922, where the world’s largest printed Koran is kept, and also visited architectural monuments of the XIII-XVI centuries.
Ville Haapasalo visited the festival “the Bulgarians konaklari”, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Bulgarian Museum-reserve and interviewed the first Director of the Bulgarian Museum-reserve Mukhametshin Jamil of Abdrakymovich.
In the Museum “Bulgarian tea party” for Villa Haapasalo was presented an interactive program “tea Party in Bulgarian”.
