June 5, 2019 for students of grade 6 of the BULGARIAN sanatorium boarding school, employees of the Department of excursion organization BGIAMZ Sabirzyanova L. I. and Glavnova V. N. held an interactive event “world environment day”.
World environment day is celebrated annually on 5 June. The event was established by the UN General Assembly at its 27th session by resolution no. A/RES/2994 (XXVII) of 15 December 1972. The selected date has a symbolic meaning. It is dedicated to the day of the Stockholm conference on the human environment.
Environmental protection is a whole system of social and state measures aimed at the harmonious coexistence of nature and the human community. Such measures can be international, administrative,legal, economic, technological, educational, aimed also at the reproduction and preservation of natural resources and existing ecological communities, which is very important not only for the living, but also for future generations of mankind.
During the event, the children learned about the history of the holiday, its importance, the environmental problems of our time. The global problems of mankind, which lead to pollution and destruction of the environment, were touched upon. Also, the students were told about the protection of the environment and the rules of behavior in nature. Students were presented with a colorful presentation “Red book of Russia”, from which they learned about the rare and endangered animals and plants.
At the end of the event, students actively participated in the environmental quiz, as well as solving thematic crosswords.
