On April 6, 2019, a delegation of the world Islamic League of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia headed by its Secretary General Mohammed bin Abdul-Karim al-ISA visited the Bulgarian Museum-reserve. The guests had a tour in the Museum of Bulgarian civilization and in the Memorial sign. They were impressed both by the rich history of Bulgarian civilization and the modern achievements of the Bulgarian Museum-reserve.
The world Islamic League was founded in 1962 in the city of Mecca (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia). The founding Council includes more than 50 religious figures. The de facto leader is the Secretary-General, who is elected from among the authoritative theologians of Saudi Arabia. One of the main goals of the organization is to spread the Islamic faith.
The delegation headed by Mohammed bin Abdul-Karim al-ISA, who is in the Russian Federation on a working visit, was also received by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. During the meeting, the most important issues of further cooperation were discussed.
