Construction

Construction business was highly developed in the Volga Bulgaria. At the turn of the 9th-10th centuries remnants of nomadism were still preserved, and people in the summer moved to live in yurts. Later, with the emergence of cities, architecture began to develop faster and the construction business was established. People built palaces, mosques, fortress towers, public baths and houses. At that time, Bulgarians as other sedentary peoples of the Middle Ages had achieved significant results reflected on the scale of brick and stone construction, the ability to build the most complex fortifications and the number of cities.

The main building material was wood, white stone (limestone) and brick.
