Fishing and hunting
Since ancient times Bulgarians were engaged in fishing and apiculture, that is forest and wild-hive beekeeping. There was a lot of fish in the Volga and Kama waters and their many tributaries and adjacent lakes. And there was a lot of honey in forests. Some of these products were also sold to other countries. Bulgarians were engaged in hunting, extracting martens, squirrels, beavers and other animals. They had a lot of furs. Bulgarians used it for their needs and for exporting abroad.
