January 21, 2019 in the auditorium of the Institute of management, Economics and Finance of Kazan (Volga) Federal University held a meeting of the Board “on the results of the state Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on tourism in 2018 and the tasks for 2019” with the participation of Deputy head of the Federal Agency for tourism Konyushkov Alexei Alekseevich and Chairman of the state Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Khairullovich Mukhametshin.
Special attention in 2018 was paid to the development of tourist centers of the Republic of Tatarstan – Kazan, The great Bolgar, the island-town of Sviyazhsk, Elabuga, Chistopol, Tetyush. In 2018, the Museum-reserve “Kazan Kremlin” took 2 928 900 persons, the Bulgarian state historical and architectural Museum-reserve 521 420 holidaymakers, the island town of Sviyazhsk 510 853 people, Elabuga 505 645 people, Chistopol state historical-architectural and literary Museum-reserve 57 830 tourists and Tetyushi 55 415.
