December 11, 2018 at the exhibition site of the Museum of Bulgarian civilization, in the framework of the project “Historical memory”, the opening of the exhibition “First world war 1914-1918.”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the end of the First world war. The first world war was one of the bloodiest and largest conflicts in the history of mankind. It began on 28 June 1914 and ended on 11 November 1918. 38 States were involved in the conflict. The event that turned the whole world order, captured in the maelstrom of hostilities almost half of the world, which led to the collapse of powerful empires and, as a consequence, to a wave of revolutions.
The exhibition will introduce visitors to the history and information of the First world war in photographs and documents. From the funds of the Museum-reserve also presents weapons, magazines and postcards with information about the war.
The main purpose of the exhibition is to revive and preserve the memory of the great war, its heroes, patriotism of the Russian people, its moral and spiritual values and its history.
