November 8, 2018 for students of GBOU ” Bulgarian boarding school for children with disabilities” head of the Department of storage of immovable monuments Gumerova G. T. in the Museum of Bulgarian civilization gave a lecture on “the October revolution of 1917”. At the lecture, children learned about the greatest event in the history of the twentieth century, which occurred in Russia in October 1917 and influenced the further course of world history.
As a result of the armed uprising, the Provisional government was overthrown and the government formed by the II all – Russian Congress of Soviets, the absolute majority of whose delegates were the Bolsheviks and their allies, supported also by some national organizations, a small part of the Mensheviks-internationalists, and some anarchists, came to power.
The provisional government was overthrown in an armed uprising on 25-26 October (7-8 November new style).
The success of the uprising was predetermined by the support of a large part of the people, the inaction of the Provisional government, the inability of the Mensheviks and right-wing esers to offer a real alternative to Bolshevism.
At the lecture, the children learned about the significance of this event in the history of the country and the life of every citizen of our state. After the lecture, we listened to a tour Of the Museum of Bulgarian civilization, where we got acquainted with the history of the state of Volga Bulgaria.
