On September 8, a methodologist at the department of excursions organization of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve V.N. Glavnova, together with the librarian of the village Privolzhsky Denisova T. N. and the director of the village House of Culture Shamayeva E.V., held for 12 schoolchildren an information and educational event “The pride of the people is the mother tongue”. The activity was dedicated to the Day of the Languages of the Peoples of the Russian Federation.
The peoples of Russia are rich in their history, traditions and roots. Language is an important connecting link between generations, and it is inextricably linked to the concept of the homeland. The loss of a language entails the loss of national culture and the demise of a nation. That is why, at present, one of the important tasks is to instill love for the native language and the homeland — the main values of a person.
At the event, schoolchildren learned why the president established the holiday Day of the Languages of the Peoples of the Russian Federation. The students discussed the problems of national languages in the modern world in a conversation format, and read statements by famous writers and poets about the languages of our multinational country. The children learned about filler words, how to eliminate them from their speech, and how swearing can harm a person.
