On September 4, head of the “Memorial Sign” exhibition complex at the Bolgar Museum‑Reserve G. I. Salimova conducted an educational tour “Journey to Bolgar” for the visitors of the museum.
Guests of the ancient city took a tour of the history of Volga Bulgaria and learned how the adoption of Islam in 922 influenced the development of the region’s urban culture. As they strolled through the settlement, the participants examined the ancient mosques and monuments, feeling the spirit of bygone eras. A walk through the ancient settlement allowed visitors to feel like travelers through time.
Twelve people took part in the event.
