On July 8, a researcher of the excursion organization department of the Bolgar Museum‑Reserve O.P. Osintseva held the “Family Festival” event dedicated to the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity at the “Kolosok” kindergarten.
During the event, the children learned about the history of the holiday. They became acquainted with the main symbols, and talked about traditions and customs.
The main symbol of this holiday is the chamomile. The chamomile is the most famous and beloved flower in Russia, the flower of Russian fields and meadows. The daisy has a lot of petals, as if a large, close‑knit family has gathered around a round table. That is why the daisy has become a symbol of the holiday celebrating family, love and fidelity.
At the end of the event, the children painted daisies and, together with the educator, created a beautiful festive poster with family photos.
