On June 18, the head of the local history department N.M. Sadrieva held the event “Ancient City! Wonderful City!” for children from the camp “Hurray, Avylga!”
In the Suvar City History Museum, the children learned about the history of Suvar, one of the most significant cities of Volga Bulgaria, which was once a major center of artisanship and trade, through a role-playing interactive game. The children had to imagine themselves as members of the Suvar tribe and experience the atmosphere and events of that distant time, in order to understand the difficulties they had to overcome to reach their new home and choose the right location for their city. The participants of the game demonstrated their knowledge, skills, and love for their hometown by sharing stories about their achievements in artisanship and trade.
In the end, the participants of the game-tour concluded that by the mid-10th century, the city of Suvar had become a major center of craftsmanship and trade, and its inhabitants were skilled artisans.
The group from Izh-Boriskino from the camp “Hurray, Avylga!” was awarded the Certificate “History of Suvar -2026”.
The event was informative, unusual and memorable.
20 people participated in the event.
