On May 18, an employee of the department of museum and educational activities at the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Sabirzyanova L.I. held an interactive event “Museum routes” for 17 tourists from Naberezhnye Chelny, which was dedicated to the International Day of Museums.
The guests learned that the first time the Day of Museums was marked on May 18, 1977, following the decision of the International Council of Museums.
The International Day of Museums is an important holiday and a true cultural phenomenon. It not only reminds people from different countries of the importance of loving and knowing their history, but also allows for a dialogue between different countries and peoples around the world. The key objectives of this holiday are to preserve experience, share knowledge, and promote understanding and respect between different cultures.
During the event, the tourists visited the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization and the “Memorial Sign” museum and exhibition complex where they explored the museum’s exhibits, learned about the history and development of the museum-reserve, and witnessed the preserved architectural monuments from the 13th and 14th centuries.
