On May 15, the head of the department of museum and educational activities of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve G.K. Hramova held an information and entertainment event “Family is the most important value” for the students of the 6th grade of Bolgar secondary school No. 1.
International Family Day is marked annually on May 15. The UN General Assembly established this holiday in 1993 to draw public attention to the numerous challenges faced by the family institution. A colorful thematic presentation was prepared for the students, which helped them to learn about such important concepts as family, family values and traditions. The children learned about the family structure that existed in ancient Russia, and the family traditions that are still practiced today. During the discussion, each student was able to express their thoughts on what family and mother mean to them. They also shared their own family traditions.
The students enjoyed playing the traditional board game “Lotto” and received small souvenirs from the Bolgar Museum-Reserve.
