On May 15, an employee of the department of museum and educational activities at the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Y.A. Bitunova held the event “The crown of all values is the family” for the students of Bolgar boarding school for children with disabilities, which was dedicated to the International Day of the Family.
In 1993, the UN General Assembly declared May 15 as the official date of the International Day of Families. Family is the most important thing in life for each of us. L. N. Tolstoy said, “He is happy who is happy at home.” During the event, the students learned about the history of the holiday, how it is marked in Russia and around the world, as well as about family values and traditions of different nations. The children shared their own family traditions, solved riddles on the topic, and actively participated in contests. Each participant received a sweet gift.
