On May 5, an employee of the excursion organization department at the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Galimullina N.R. held the event “St. George Ribbon” for eight children of the 3rd grade of Bolgar sanatorium boarding school, which was devoted to the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
During the event, the children learned about the history of the St. George’s (Guards) ribbon, and how it has become a symbol of victory in modern times. To make the information more accessible, a colorful presentation was presented to the participants. The children answered leading questions and remembered the rules for wearing the St. George’s ribbon.
At the end of the event, the students decorated the St. George’s ribbon with delicate forget-me-not flowers, which they made themselves using blue foamiran and beads, as a symbol of loyalty and remembrance of the heroic deeds of our soldiers, which we must never forget.
