On April 3, the Bolgar Museum-Reserve hosted an interactive event called “Holidays in the museum”. This event designed for schoolchildren and visitors to our museum was focused on the history and crafts of Volga Bulgaria and the Kazan Tatars.
The event offered a rich program that included educational tours of the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization, temporary exhibitions, and a puppet show based on the fairy tales of A. Alish. The guests also actively participated in master classes on weaving, braiding, and making playing dolls. Everyone could not only learn about the history of a particular craft, but also create a handmade souvenir.
