On April 1, the museum and exhibition complex “Memorial Sign in honor of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgars in 922” hosted the grand opening of the exhibition “The artistic heritage of Ancient Bolgar”.
There are 50 paintings by Tatar artists in the halls of the museum. Each artwork reflects the key stages of the development of the city of Bolgar from its foundation to the present day. The exhibition allows visitors not only to learn about the history and culture of the ancient city, but also to see how artists interpret its rich heritage.
The exhibition opening became a significant event for the cultural life of Bolgar, attracting the attention of local residents and guests of the museum-reserve. Members of the district branch of the public organization “Movement of the First” also visited the exhibition.
The opening was accompanied by presentations by the staff of the museum-reserve who spoke about the process of creating the exhibition and the significance of Bolgar artistic heritage.
