On March 12, an employee of the excursion management department of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Galimullina N.R. held an event “Wonderful page of poetry” dedicated to World Poetry Day for 8 students of the 4th grade of Bolgar secondary school No. 1.
Poetry has always helped to plunge into the atmosphere of beauty and developed the imagination. An artistic poetic word has an amazing ability to influence a person, helps to feel his inner world, as well as understand various social processes.
During the event, the children received information about the holiday, learned about the founder of Bulgar written poetry, the poet of the turn of the XII–XIII centuries Kul Gali, and got acquainted with his legendary work “The Tale of Yusuf”. This poem penetrated so deeply into the spiritual world of the Tatar people that it became one of the most popular works of the medieval period in the Eastern world.
The students briefly got acquainted with the content of the poem, listened to individual excerpts and, one might say, touched upon the historical period when this work was created. While reading the poem, the children analyzed the actions of characters, thereby gaining instructive examples for themselves. During the event, the schoolchildren amicably collected puzzles, played the game “The best qualities of a hero” and participated with pleasure in a quiz on the topic they listened to. They actively answered all the questions, thus proving that they were interested in the proposed material, despite the difficulty of perceiving this medieval masterpiece.
