On March 5, on the eve of the celebration of International Women’s Day, the exhibition “Keeper of the hearth” began in the Bolgar Museum–Reserve.
For many centuries, a woman has been the keeper of the hearth. She brings up children, runs a household, and preserves family values and traditions. A woman is a pillar and bulwark for all family members.
The exhibition presents objects of home crafts and everyday life, demonstrating the hard work and skill of women at different times.
The purpose of the exhibition is to remind the audience of the significance of the role of women in society, to emphasize the importance of preserving family traditions and values. It invites you to reflect on the importance of home comfort, mutual understanding and respect for each other, creating a space for reflection and dialogue between generations.
At the end of the exhibition, an interactive event was organized for the guests with workshops on souvenir painting, pottery, tannery and weaving. The event was attended by employees of the museum, mothers with many children and the mother of the deceased participant of the Special Military Operation.
