On December 18, the staff of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve held an interactive field event “Bolgar is the guardian of folk traditions” within the framework of the “Pushkin’s card” project for the students of Kimovskaya secondary school of the Spassky municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Various craft workshops were presented to the participants of the event: pottery, leather mosaic, wood burning and making amulets depicting runic symbols. At the gastronomic master class on making a special tea “in Bolgar style”, the children learned how to make a fragrant collection of herbs, flowers and berries.
For fun, the medieval board games “Alquerque” and “Mill” were presented, as well as the game “Journey into the Past”, with which the children were able to stroll through the streets of the ancient city and get acquainted with its artifacts.
