On December 9, an employee of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Bitunova Yu. A. gave a lecture “Traditions of national tea drinking” to the students of Bolgar boarding school for children with disabilities.
Tea is one of the oldest drinks on Earth, the benefits and taste of which are incomparable with other drinks. There are many different drinks prepared by collecting plants that grow nearby, but tea has taken a special place in the history of beverages of the peoples in the Volga region.
The children became acquainted with the exposition of the “Bolgar tea party” museum, learned about the origin of tea and its penetration into the territory of Russia. The participants became familiar with the peculiarities of Tatar tea drinking and the traditions of hospitality.
The children listened attentively, asked questions, and shared their family traditions and customs. Six people attended the lecture.
