As part of the Decade of the disabled, on December 5, the head of the department of museum and educational activities G.K. Hramova together with specialists from the State Autonomous Institution of Social Service “Rassvet” held an interactive event “The world of equal opportunities” for 11 students of Bolgar boarding school for children with disabilities.
The event is timed to coincide with the International Day of the Disabled. This holiday is marked annually on December 3 as an occasion to draw attention to solving the most important problems of rehabilitation and social adaptation of people with disabilities.
At the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization, the participants of the event became acquainted with the exhibitions presented, collected puzzles depicting Bolgar architectural monuments. Next, a master class on making toys using the “leather mosaic” technique was organized for the young guests. The children plunged into the fascinating and creative process with great interest and pleasure, and made toys in the form of a horse, a symbol of the upcoming new year.
The event was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Each participant received a lot of positive emotions, useful skills and small souvenirs from the museum-reserve.
