On December 3, within the framework of the “Bolgar for All” project implemented at the expense of the “Tatneft” Charitable Foundation, the staff of the museum-reserve held an interactive event “Bolgar for All” for 12 students of Bolgar boarding school for children with disabilities.
During the event, the students visited the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization where they became acquainted with the architecture of Bolgar city and the work of masters-builders in a playful way. In the museum, the children actively performed various game tasks. After the tour, the schoolchildren visited the archaeological site, “conducted research” and selected from the found objects those related to the construction business. Then, in the craft workshops “Bulgar Masters” and in the creative studio “Territory of Opportunities”, the children became artisans themselves: in the pottery workshop, they made jugs from clay on the potter’s wheel; in the carpentry workshop, they made bird feeders from blanks and decorated them with drawings, burning wood. In the creative studio, the children attended a master class of glass painting “Ancient Bolgar in winter” in the style of Muslim shamail. The little artists also tried to paint their paintings beautifully and accurately. Many also painted with sand on special tables, emotionally relaxing and resting. All the little craftsmen were very pleased that they had beautiful and finished works. On this day, the students, having visited an exciting excursion, touched not only the history of the Bolgar city, but also continued to get acquainted with folk art crafts and gained experience in decorative and applied arts. Every time they come to the museum, the children discover it from a new perspective, learning many new and interesting things.
