On November 26, within the framework of the project “Bolgar for All” implemented at the expense of the “Tatneft” Charitable Foundation, regular classes with students of grades 3-7 of Bolgar boarding school for children with disabilities were held at the archaeological site and in the creative studio “Territory of opportunities” of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve.
At the museum’s exposition, during an interactive lesson on archeology, schoolchildren consolidated various terms and concepts – “archaeological excavation”, “cultural layer”, “archaeological find”, “museum exhibit”. With great interest, the children completed the task: to conduct research on the found object and determine its purpose, material, and which of the ancient artisans made it.
In the creative studio, during a needlework lesson, the children learned about a wide variety of ancient patchwork dolls, their use in ancient everyday life, learned how to make a doll in winter clothes and weave a belt of thread for dolls. In the art painting class, the participants learned how to paint on water in the “Ebru” style and transfer the pattern to the fabric. The children really liked this kind of creativity where they were able to fantasize and improvise with colors and patterns, creating their own unique drawing.
Children are always very willing to attend such classes. Here they explore the world of the museum, discover their creative abilities and learn how to interact in a friendly atmosphere.
Eight people took part in the classes.
