90 museums — public and private, large and small, from the capital and regions – responded to the competition “Without exception-2025”. 88 competitive applications were validated and admitted to the competition in three categories: “LIGHT Start”, “LIGHT Course” and “LIGHT Experience”.
The “LIGHT Course” nomination became the leader in popularity among museums with 47 applications. Museums that already have experience working systematically with people with disabilities competed in this category and now want to take their inclusive practices to a new level: to increase their effectiveness and make them more sustainable. Many of the museums in this category plan to become internship sites in the future and share their experiences.
Among the winners in this nomination was the Bolgar State Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve with the project Inclusive Craft Center “Bolgar Masters”.
In total, 80 children and youth with mental disabilities, as well as 20 healthy children, will take part in the project.
During the museum classes, the project participants will be acquainted with the history of the Bolgar city, craft traditions and skills. In addition, the system of classes, communication, and joint activities of children will continue to create conditions for the accumulation of socialization experience. The creative process will help overcome psychological barriers and favorably influence self-realization, and smoothly introduce children into the cultural space.
