On November 17, 2025, a researcher of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve O.P. Osintseva organized an excursion to the village of Nikolskoye for active representatives of the “University of the third age” headed by J.G. Muhametshin, a researcher of the museum-reserve.
The tour took place in a very warm and friendly atmosphere. On the way to the village of Nikolskoye, brief travel information was given about the villages of the Spassky district: Three Ozera, Polyanki, Tankeyevka, Krasnaya Sloboda, Krasny Val and Bugrovka.
At the entrance to the village of Nikolskoye, tourists were greeted by sculptures of horses on 6-meter steles created by a local self-taught master A.M. Filippov. After driving along Shkolnaya Street past the house of the master and Nikolskaya secondary school, they drove onto Budyonny Street, which leads to the center of the village.
During the tour, the main culturally significant objects of the village Nikolskoye were examined: a church named after the icon of the Kazan Mother of God, a park, a new hydraulic engineering structure, as well as a museum located in the Nikolskoye House of Culture and a library where paintings by A.M. Filippov are kept. At the end of the meeting, a tea party was organized, at which J.G. Muhametshin presented two books from his personal library as a gift.
On the way back, the tourists shared their memories, impressions of the village, and told stories from their personal lives.
