On October 23, in the territory of the agrarian and ethnographic complex “Museum of Bread”, an employee of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Rogachyova M.N. held for seven students of Bolgar sanatorium boarding school an information and educational event “Bread around the head” dedicated to the Day of Agricultural Workers.
The students learned how bread “comes” to our table: from sowing grain to baking bread. In the museum, they became acquainted with ancient and modern tools for plowing the land, growing and processing grain, discovering old and already unfamiliar words for themselves: plough, saban, harrow, barn, millstone and others. On this day, the children walked through the territory of the Bread Museum, went to the “Miller’s House”, looked at domestic animals in the farmyard, visited the windmill, looked into the barn. The participants successfully completed the task: according to the words on the cards, they found objects on the territory and in the museum, actively answered quiz questions, and solved riddles about bread with great interest. Despite the cold weather, the children were very pleased with the walk and gained a lot of new knowledge and impressions.
