The scientific secretary of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Biryukova G.M. and the head of the department of organization of excursions Prokofieva G. R. take part in the Professional museum forum “Museum Olympus” on board the ship “Symphony of the North”.
The event with visits to Samara, Ulyanovsk, Sviyazhsk Island and Kazan will be held from October 13 to 16, 2025.
The museum ship has started its route, and the Professional Museum Forum – its work. Galina Alekseeva, Vice-President of the Russian Committee of the International Council of Museums (ICOM of Russia), Scientific Director of the Tolstoy Museum Estate “Yasnaya Polyana”, and Alla Platonova, Minister of Culture of the Perm Territory, addressed the guests and participants of the event.
The Presidential Foundation for cultural initiatives supports the contest “Museum Olympus – 2025”.
In 2025, applications were accepted in the categories “Exhibition”, “Exposition”, “Museum event”, “Museum for Children”, “Museum of Modernity”, “Museum of Russia 2025” and “Museum Masterpiece”.
The competition is aimed at defining guidelines for professional growth, updating the social mission of museums, and supporting projects that work with topics and tools that are important to the museum community. The finalists of the “Museum Olympus” will have to defend their projects in front of the jury and the museum community on October 13-16 at the Professional Museum Forum. The award ceremony will take place in Kazan.
