On October 8, the head of the department “Museum of Bulgarian Civilization” T.G. Zarifullina, the museum supervisor T.P. Kamayeva and the curator of the exposition A.A. Sheronova held an information and entertainment event “For those whose autumn has not been left by spring” for pensioners of the veteran organization of the administration of Spassky municipal district of RT.
The veterans visited the exhibition “Treasures of the Bolgar land” from the funds of the museum–reserve in the Memorial Sign, where they became acquainted with coin and clothing treasures, saw the world’s largest printed Quran listed in the Guinness Book of Records.
The event continued in the building of the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization where the guests watched the video “Day of the Elderly. The history of the holiday.” For the first time, the holiday began to be marked in Japan as the day of the elderly in the 40s of the last century. In the Russian Federation, it has been celebrated since 1992 as the day of the elderly, the day of kindness and respect.
Then the guests had a tour of the museum’s halls, and two exhibitions were presented to them: “That distant spring of 1945” dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory, and “SMO and the Heroes of the Spassky district: bravery and courage”.
The event ended in a festive, positive atmosphere with singing of songs over a friendly tea party.
19 veterans attended the event.
