On October 3, the staff of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve, methodologist Glavnova V.N. and librarian Karymova F.R., held an event “Let the autumn of life be golden” for 12 pensioners, dedicated to the International Day of the Elderly.
All the experience and wisdom of our planet is concentrated in the elderly. These people serve as our role models and will always help us in any situation with wise advice. The invaluable life experience of the elderly is an important contribution to the development of modern society.
The Chairman of the trade union organization of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve J.G. Muhametshin congratulated the pensioners on the holiday. Then the veterans became acquainted with the exhibition “Palestine in our Hearts”, which presents the works of famous, talented Palestinian, Arab and Russian artists from different regions and cities. In the “Museum of A. Alish”, pensioners learned about the life and work of the poet–countryman.
On the interactive platform, the staff of the museum–reserve held workshops on pottery, making key chains from leather and patchwork dolls. Everyone wrote his or her name in Arabic script using reed and bamboo kalam. The pensioners made souvenirs with their own hands, which they took as a keepsake. The meeting ended with a cordial conversation and tea at the festive table. The veterans received positive emotions and a lot of memories until next year.
