On October 1, a researcher of the department “Museum of Bulgarian Civilization” of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve S.V. Krivosheyeva held an interactive event “Generations together” for 13 wards of the “Spassky boarding house for the elderly and disabled”, dedicated to the Day of the Elderly.
The participants watched a presentation telling them that many centuries ago there was a huge city on the site of the reserve with wide streets, tall minarets, bustling bazaars full of all kinds of overseas goods. The remains of fortifications in the form of a sunken moat and rampart, architectural monuments of XIII-XIV centuries, which attract a large number of tourists from all over the world, have been preserved from the once crowded city.
The wards actively participated in the conversation, shared their memories and impressions of visiting the museum–reserve. At the end of the event, the participants became acquainted with the medieval games “Mill” and “Alquerque”, and enjoyed playing them.
