On September 16, a researcher of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve G.M. Musina held an ecological event “Visiting the forest” for 16 pupils of the kindergarten “Rodnichok”, dedicated to the celebration of the Russian Forest Day. This event was held in order to create conditions for children to develop a positive attitude towards the outside world, environmental and spiritual-moral education.
The annual environmental campaign “Russian Forest Days” is taking place across the country from 15 to 17 September. Over the past decades, the holiday has grown from a narrow-professional event into one of the most important events on the Russian calendar, bringing together tens of thousands of volunteers and activists. Traditionally, Russians participate in actions to plant young trees, clean parks and forest areas from debris, thus ensuring the safety of green spaces.
The event was held in a picturesque place near Lake Britankino. The children learned about the diverse importance of the forest in human life, about the inhabitants of the forest. They also remembered the rules of behavior in the forest and played the games. Kids listened to poems, repeated sayings about the forest and nature. At the end of the walk, the children participated in various outdoor games.
During the event, kids showed interest in the nature of their native land, the desire to protect and preserve the beauty and wealth of their small homeland.
