On August 21, 2025, the VIII International Summer School “Bolgar Dialogue of Cultures” was held at the Multifunctional Center of the Bolgar Islamic Academy.
It was attended by a senior researcher of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Honored Worker of Culture J. G. Muhametshin with a lecture on “The cultural heritage of Islam: history and modernity”. He made a presentation on “The formation and development of the Bulgar-Tatar epigraphic school.” The report examined the development of the epigraphic school in Bolgar, Kazan and other centers where the Tatar population of the 13th-19th centuries lived. This presentation aroused great interest among the participants. After completing the lecture, J.G. Muhametshin was awarded a certificate of participation in the conference and the medal “Russia and the Islamic World”.
