On August 12, on the territory of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve, an employee of the excursion management department Galimullina N.R. held for young tourists from the city of Kazan an event “Architecture is chronicle of the world” dedicated to the Day of the Builder.
The study of the architecture of Volga Bulgaria is of great importance, as this state played a significant role in the formation of the architectural appearance of modern cities located on its territory. All archaeological, written and other sources indicate that the Bulgar cities were excellent examples of high-quality architectural creativity. Palaces, estates of the feudal nobility, caravanserais, cathedral and quarter mosques, public baths, mausoleums and other buildings were built. In addition to religious and public buildings, Bulgaria has developed residential architecture with elements of landscaping, water supply, sanitation and underfloor heating.
During the event, the age of the little visitors and their desire to move were taken into account. The guests were shown visual materials: reproductions of paintings, diagrams of ancient monuments, which helped to present the high level of sanitary and technical development of the monumental architecture of Bolgar at that time. In the ruins of the White Chamber bathhouse, children studied an ancient underground heating system.
At the end of the lesson, the children painted a souvenir with the image of the monument “Small Minaret”. The event left a lot of vivid impressions among the young visitors.
