On May 26, a research associate of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Musina G.M. gave a talk to 13 students of Bolgar sanatorium boarding school entitled “No one is forgotten, nothing is forgotten.”
The children were told about how much grief the war brought to our people, about the severity of the trials that fell on children’s shoulders during those years… The participants learned about the hard daily labor of women, the elderly and teenagers in the rear, about their courage in partisan detachments and on the front lines. Then children listened to poems about the war, watched a presentation and answered quiz questions.
The participants of the event got acquainted with the exhibition “That Distant Spring of 1945,” which included exhibits from the collections of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve: samples of weapons and military equipment, clothing, soldiers’ personal belongings, letters from the front, everyday items, and symbols of Victory, which tell of the military exploits of our compatriots.
At the end of the event, everyone honored the memory of the fallen with a minute of silence.
