On May 6, an employee of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Galimullina N. R. for 12 children of Bolgar sanatorium boarding school held an event “St. George Ribbon” timed to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. The event was planned as part of the patriotic action “Memory Line”.
During this event, the schoolchildren got acquainted with the history of the St. George’s (Guards) ribbon, and learned how it became a symbol of Victory. To facilitate the perception of the material, the children were presented with a colorful presentation. They answered quiz questions and remembered the rules of wearing the St. George ribbon.
At the end of the event, the children decorated the St. George ribbon with delicate flowers of forget-me-nots made of foamiran and beads, as a symbol of loyalty and memory to the feat of our soldiers, which we have no right to forget.
