On April 9, employees of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve held an interactive event “Bolgar is the keeper of folk traditions” within the framework of the project “Pushkin’s card” for the students of Kimovskaya secondary school of Spassky district of the Republic of Tatarstan. The participants of the event were introduced to various craft workshops: pottery, leather mosaic, wood burning and making amulets depicting runic symbols. At the gastronomic master class on the preparation of special tea “in Bolgar style”, the children learned how to compose properly a fragrant collection of herbs, flowers and berries.
For fun were presented medieval board games “Alquerque” and “Mill”, as well as the game “Journey to the Past”, through which the children were able to walk along the streets of the ancient city, to get acquainted with its artifacts.
Twenty people attended the event.
