On March 25, an employee of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Hramova G.K. for 15 students of the Spassky technical school of branch technologies held an information lesson “What do we know about AIDS?” dedicated to the prevention of HIV/AIDS in the youth environment.
Throughout history, humanity has repeatedly faced infectious diseases, which were characterized by mass spread. Today we are faced with a new disease – acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS), which is figuratively called the plague of the 21st century. The main reason for this attitude to AIDS is the progressive spread of the disease and fatal outcome, the lack of effective methods of treatment and prevention up to now.
The lesson was held in the form of a conversation. The students watched a presentation, which helped them to learn the difference between HIV and AIDS, the ways of its transmission, theories of its origin and most importantly – prevention measures. The students actively participated in the discussion of the problem of HIV spread, got acquainted with information leaflets and the international symbol of the fight against AIDS, which is used as a logo by WHO, UN agencies and countless charitable foundations – the “red ribbon” folded in a special way.
At the end of the lesson, the children concluded that AIDS develops faster in those whose health is initially weak. Smoking, alcohol abuse, drug use, poor nutrition and stress have a negative impact, so it is very important to lead a healthy lifestyle and follow the rules of personal hygiene.
