On March 26, a researcher of the Bolgar Museum-Reserve Muhametshin I.D. read a lecture “Cities of the Golden Horde” for the students of grades 9-10 of Trehozerskaya secondary school.
The listeners of the lecture learned many interesting things about the cities built and restored by the Mongols on the territory of the Golden Horde state. They were the center of culture, trade, various crafts flourished there, and merchants from different countries came. One of such cities was Bolgar.
The children got acquainted with historical places, architectural monuments of the cities of Central Asia, Siberia, Volga region, Crimea, which were part of the Golden Horde. European travelers left interesting notes about them.
Outstanding scientists, poets, theologians: Kotb, Saif Sarai, Mahmud Bulgari, Ahmad Khoja as-Sarai, Khorezmi created in the cities. They left a rich cultural heritage. This is our history of which we are proud.
